Vehicle Sales Terms

Last updated: 8 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy a vehicle from Cirencester 4x4 Limited (company no. 17507214, registered office The Old Dairy, Parkway Farm, Cheltenham, England, GL54 3JL). Please read them before you buy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

The vehicle

All our vehicles are used. We describe each vehicle as accurately as we can, including its mileage, history and any cosmetic marks we know about. Photographs and descriptions are for guidance and do not form part of the contract. Please ask us if a particular feature or detail matters to you, and we will confirm it in writing.

We recommend that you view and test drive the vehicle before buying. Where a recorded mileage cannot be verified, we will tell you before the sale.

Price and payment

The price is the price shown on our website or agreed with you in writing. We will confirm the total price, including any delivery charge, before you commit to buy.

Payment is by bank transfer or another method we agree with you. The vehicle remains our property until we have received payment in full in cleared funds. We do not offer finance through this website.

Part exchange

If you part exchange a vehicle, you confirm that you own it or are authorised to sell it, that any outstanding finance has been declared, and that the information you have given us is accurate. Our part-exchange price is based on that information and on inspection, and may be reviewed if the vehicle differs from its description when handed over. If there is outstanding finance, we will settle it directly with the lender and deduct it from the agreed value.

Collection and delivery

You are welcome to collect your vehicle from us. We can also arrange delivery within mainland UK for an agreed charge. Responsibility for the vehicle passes to you when it is collected or delivered.

Warranty

Our vehicles come with a warranty provided by Cirencester 4x4 Limited, subject to these terms. The length of cover is between 3 and 12 months, depending on the vehicle, and will be confirmed in writing before you buy.

The warranty does not cover:

  • historic fault codes
  • general wear and tear
  • windscreens
  • tyres
  • misuse or fault by the owner or driver
  • events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

To make a claim, contact us before arranging any repair. The warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

A vehicle you buy from us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, taking into account its age, mileage and price. Normal wear and tear on a used vehicle, and faults we pointed out before the sale, are not covered.

  • If a fault is found within 30 days of delivery, you may be entitled to reject the vehicle and get a refund.
  • After 30 days, or if you prefer, you may be entitled to a repair. If a repair is not possible or is unsuccessful, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a final right to reject.
  • A fault that appears within six months of delivery is presumed to have been present at delivery unless we can show otherwise.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you think there is a problem, before arranging any repair work, so that we can help.

Buying at a distance

If you buy without visiting us (for example, by phone, email or online, with delivery to you), you usually have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the vehicle under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Please tell us clearly in writing that you wish to cancel. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition, and we may deduct an amount for any loss in value caused by use beyond what is needed to check the vehicle. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the vehicle back. Unless we agree otherwise, you pay the cost of returning it.

This right does not apply if you visited our premises to view the vehicle and made the contract there.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Complaints and law

If something goes wrong, please see our Complaints Procedure. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
